At the start of every year you will see loads of hashtags of different diets people have started their new years resolution with; including the #carnivorediet on Twitter and Instagram.

In contrast to some people going vegan for a 31 days from 1 January; some people will choose to do the complete opposite by going meat only for 31 days.

What is World Carnivore Month?

World Carnivore month is a dietary challenge that starts on 1 January of every year and is when people try eat a carnivore diet for the 31 days of January.

World carnivore month starts on 1 January 2023 this year.

Who Created World Carnivore Month?

Dr Shawn Baker MD is the person who started the world carnivore month back on 1 January 2018 and has popularised the idea of eating a diet of only animal meats, water and salt for one month.

Shawn says he created idea after seeing veganuary in his timeline and instead wanted to help promote a lifestyle that people eat meat for better health.

What Are The Rules?

There really are only two rules to follow for the 31 day challenge

  1. Eat some form the carnivore diet (including the lion diet)
  2. Drink water
