The best blue light blocking reading glasses brands are:

I was interested to find out what are some recommended brands that make blue light filtering readers for me to review.

I believe wearing a good pair of lenses that filter out artificial blue light, is a good thing for our circadian biology and eye health in both the short and long-term. Especially with so many electronic computer screens and LED lights that we are all exposed to now for long periods.

So I went out researching online for what are some top rated & most recommended brands that make good blue light glasses designed with various reading magnification strengths that are available to buy online.

The Best Reading Blue Light Glasses Brands in 2024

Here is the list of the top blue light blocking reading glasses brands on the market we reviewed that you should consider before buying.

1. BON CHARGE Blue Light Blocking Reading Glasses

A man and woman wearing a pair of BluBlox blue light blocking reading glasses with clear lenses.
Overview
  • Reader Magnification Options: From +0.25 up to +4.00 magnification strength options
  • Amount of Blue Light Filtered: Yellow lens option (42%), Orange Lens option (99%)
  • Clear Daytime Lens Option: No
  • Amber Day or Nighttime Lens Option: Yes
  • Orange Nighttime Lens Option: Yes
  • Prescription Lens Option: Yes
  • Frame Colors & Styles: Multiple men’s and women’s range

The BON CHARGE brand of blue light glasses are one of my favorite as they are transparent about their lens spectrum light testing reports. This means the company openly shares the spectral analysis reports on the amount of blue light their lenses actually filter out. This helps me trust they deliver products that say what they should do. Out of all the brands reviewed, BON CHARGE gave the most reader magnification options going up in increments of +0.25 magnification. You can get the reading magnification made into the clear daytime lens, amber lens or nighttime red lens option. With so many frame style options for both men and women you will easily find something that suits your personal style.

2. RaOptics Blue Light Blocking Reading Glasses

Overview
  • Reader Magnification Options: From +0.25 up to +3.00 magnification strength options
  • Amount of Blue Light Filtered: Yellow lens option (42%), Orange Lens option (99%)
  • Clear Daytime Lens Option: No
  • Amber Day or Nighttime Lens Option: Yes
  • Orange Nighttime Lens Option: Yes
  • Prescription and Reader Lens Option: Yes
  • Frame Colors & Styles: Multiple men’s and women’s range

The RaOptics brand are one of my favorite after personally wearing the different blue light blocking frames for sleep. I also know the company founder, Matt Maruca is very passionate in reducing exposure to artificial blue light to support your body clock. Comparing RaOptics to BLUBlox there are not as many frame styles to choose from, there are no clear lens options and the max magnification is not as strong if you need +4.00 reader strength to be able to read.

The Swanwick Sleep brand make a decent pair of reading glasses that filter blue light. Even though they have been making blue light glasses for several years their range of reading glasses frames and specific levels of magnification available are not as good as BLUBlox or RaOptics. Swannies are still a good choice to consider, but you are a little more limited in the case of readers available.
